My brand, 'the evening sun, the morning moon', shortened to 'evesmmoon', or 'esmm', started out as a hobby project.

I have always had a special interest in all things handmade, starting from simple boondoggle (gotta admit, I had to look up what this was actually called) keychains when I was little to making my own jewellery.

I tend to hyperfixate a lot, so when I'm into something, I am INTO something. During all of my crafting ventures, I always heard the comment, "You should totally sell these!", but that never occurred to me as an option... that is, until May 2025.

After a brief moment of existential crisis following a redundancy, the realisation finally came: I actually had the chance—the time—to make it happen.

Making initial bead bracelets was one of my top fixations at the time, so the idea branched out from there. The heart of the to-be brand was always clear: something handmade, something unique, and something meaningful. So naturally, I had to create a brand that focused on the stories of the wearer as much as the brand itself.

Hence, evesmmoon became a brand that specialises in customisation and personalisation: creating jewellery that tells the story of who you are, because that was precisely the reason I started making my own jewellery in the first place.

Unfortunately, evesmmoon isn't my full-time job (yet!), so I would like to ask for your patience and understanding with your jewellery's journey to you.

made to be loved, for longer

I believe jewellery should be made to be loved for as long as possible — not worn for a season and thrown away when the next trend comes along.

As a small handmade brand, esmm is still growing and learning. I'm continually looking for ways to improve the quality, longevity, and environmental impact of my pieces, including making more conscious choices about the materials and packaging I use wherever possible.

My hope is to create pieces that stay with you for years. And if one day they're no longer quite you, I hope they're still loved enough to be gifted or passed on to someone else rather than ending up in the bin.

In the future, I would also love to offer complimentary repairs wherever reasonably possible and feasible, so that a broken finding or worn component doesn't necessarily mean the end of a piece you love.

I know there is always more I can do, and I don't want to pretend esmm is perfectly sustainable when it isn't. Instead, I want to keep learning, make better choices as the brand grows, waste less wherever I can, and create thoughtfully rather than endlessly.

In a world of mass production and fast fashion, I hope esmm can offer something a little more personal and meaningful — something made thoughtfully, chosen intentionally, and loved for a long time.
